Skin tears

I admitted a patient today who fell and received 2 bad skin tears. My usual dressing change is to cleane the wound, cover with petroleum gauze, 4x4s and/or rolled gauze. The issue is that the patient is on oxygen so petroleum gauze is out. What type of dressing and what frequency would you suggest so that medicare will cover the nursing?

TIA

the silvasorb gel work very nice, clean it, apply gel and cover it with non stick dsg, you can change it 2 or 3 times a week

My last placement LOVED viscopaste. First, spray w/ wound spray, then apply some Critic Aid to the borders, and top off w/ Viscopaste and then Curlex.

Thanks for the ideas and options!
