Hi all! New to allnurses.com but I needed some advice and hope Ga nurses can help!
I have 1.5 years experience in a small town hospital medical-surgical unit. Because of the hospital size I have learned and experienced A LOT, but I feel like its time for a change. Although I have applied to bigger medical-surgical units in the metro area, I'm also interested in Home Health and Hospice work, but I don't know much about local (Marietta to Cumming) home health agencies.
Any feedback (good and bad) would be helpful! Thank you in advance

Try the major companies like Maxim Healthcare, Amedysis, Pediatric Service of America, and Bayada. You just might have a strong chance at getting hired since you have medsurg experience. I do know that Maxim and Bayada are looking for LPN's and RN's with peds experience; PSA deals strictly with children. All want you to have peds and vent experience. The peds home health market is REALLY big here in the Atl-metro area and the jobs are plentiful; but if you dont have peds experience, they will respectfully turn you down. I know bc it keeps happening to me.
Oh! Also try VistaCare and Odyssey Hospice. One of them has an open full time position in Athens.
thanks! No peds or vent experience for me... but good luck to you!
Thank you. I need it. Good luck to you too! I sincerely hope the info helps you.
