Home Assessments

Published

Specializes in FNP.

It seems like suddenly there are soooo many home assessments jobs out, I recently began one of these jobs, thinking it was easy money, like there is such a thing.

Anyway I figured $100 a patient, if I saw 5 patients a day it would be a good deal. BUT in reality it seems like I am in sales I have to pressure my patients and hunt them down to see them. I am "scheduled" anywhere from 5-8 patients, I call them and tell them a time frame that I will be there, I usually see between 3-4 of those, the rest don't answer the door.

These patients are not sick and really have no reason to see me, its their health insurance who make out on this deal, so no real incentive for the patient.

hmm I don't think there was really a question here just wanted to commiserate with any others in my predicament.

Interesting...I logged on just to check out others experiences with this type of job. I currently have an interview in the works for a similar position but the assessments are scheduled to be at actual clinics and not at homes. These are Medicare assessments. No clinic follow-up needed b/c all info is sent to their PCP. Would love anyone with experience to log on and share.
