Anyone out there have any info on apartments in the area? We are interested in Hollywood/Dania/Davie areas. We are moving down there in January when I will be starting anesthesia school.
Some of the apartments I visited in July:
Gatehouse,Mariner Club, Marquesa in P.Pines.
Lavue, Windsor, Jefferson at Young Circle, in Hollywood.
Paradise Pointe in Dania.
A lot of these apartments were part of the Equity Residential conglomerate. What is their track record?
We are a small family with a beagle, and are kind of picky with the many factors involved. We are pressed to make a decision soon, so we can get the ball rolling.
Email/post to me if you have any information on other apartments, or questions about the apartments I listed above. We looked on apartmentratings.com as far as reviews from ?tenants?, but are especially interested in hearing from people that will be in a similar situation, or are already in the program.
Thanks

I used to temp for a "Jefferson" property in Deerfield Beach. There is another one in Coral Springs. They were awesome!
Equity residential is good. I would say go for Jefferson at Young Circle, in Hollywood. You can't go wrong. They are high class in comparison to other properties.
In additon, see if they have month to month rent or a 6 months lease. In that way, you are not locked into the year (if you don't like it)
Good luck!

thanks for the reply. jefferson @ young circle was nice, however, it was a bit steep in price. we are going to graduate school at Barry U and my wife will not be working. we are kind of on a budget. any ideas on what we should be paying for a 1br/1ba apartment in a safe location? windsor seemed pretty nice for their prices (950)/mo, but i feel like there are even better deals that locals would know about.
thanks again for your input,
zach

I do not know about rentals. I do know of the areas you mentioned, I would move a bit more west and live in Plantation.

I agree.
Which campus location are you going to be in? I would highly recommend you look in the Pembroke Pines area for nice rentals too.
Unfortunately, I do not think you are going to find anything less than $900 or $950 for a one bedroom (in a nice area of town).
