Tips for Newbies

  1. After 13 years focusing on disease and emergency nursing, I am striving to shift my direction to prevention with a holistic emphasis. Eventually, I would love to work from home or partner with a local practitioner. I love the idea of health coaching; helping people stay well and work toward better wellness. I have been pursuing this for several months and feel like I am to the point now where I just need to hear from those who have gone before. I am ready to jump into a program (I intend to call the recruiter back this week) but want reassurance from others who have left the security of the hospital/illness world.

What tips do you have for someone starting on the Holistic Nursing journey? (I joined the AHNA already.)

What tips do you have for someone pursuing a dream of leaving the hospital/illness system?

    Thanks in advance!
