Hippie Chick CNAs, etc

Do you have a Hippie Chick working at your facility? I ran into one that worked at a previous hospital, and it dawned on me that she seems to fit some sort of mold, since the one I work with now is so similar.

Bachelor's degree in social sciences, is an artist, tries to sell artwork, smokes but also brings super health drinks to work. Would never become a nurse though, since this is temporary gig (that is now into second decade). Good social skills, hangs out with some of the very cool people in the unit.

There were actually 3 Hippie Chicks at last hospital, 2 are still there and one did manage to become full-time yoga instructor.

OMG! I am that hippie! :wideyed:

In my circle of friends I am called "the Hippie Chick"...is that a bad thing???

No way, imo, its a great thing! FWIW I can't remember a CNA hippie chick but definitely have worked with RNs like that and loved every one of them. :D

If you have to ask, you're not a "hippie" anything.

Specializes in oncology, MS/tele/stepdown.

We don't have a hippie chick that I can think of. But I do have an anthropology degree, I paint, I drink green smoothies, and I don't think I'll be at the bedside forever...
