I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?

Anyone else have any updates to their documents? I been checking every damn day going crazy and nada. Ima stop

Nothing new with mine. I'm just thinking, maybe they go in alphabetical order? My last name starts with A. Of course, we'd probably have no idea if that's the case. I hope you get an update soon. Even though this is taking forever, I can't believe 4 weeks have flown by.

Where did you check the update on the advisor? was it under documents?

I just checked webadvisor this morning and mine is updated and under review. My last name starts with a C so maybe it does go in alphabetical order?? Everyone should see theirs very soon too, at least we know they are working on it now :)

You just have to be patient. I know you are anxious but think of all the applications they have to go through. It hasn't even been a month since the deadline yet. Also it takes 12 to 15 weeks for a response back from the program after June 1st deadline.

Hi guys! First day of orientation went very well. We received a folder with a packet full of papers to fill out and return back by the end of day. We also did our urine test and I didn't fill my cup up enough. So my suggestion is to not go to the bathroom at home before orientation. Physical form was revised 4/13 so it's probably the same one that's been going around. I would still wait because you guys won't be starting the program for a bit. CPR for HCC students went up to 35.00 but is still discounted. You can get it anywhere as long as it is from American Health Association and is BLS. We are going to see the uniform tomorrow because the students from the SNA association will give their presentation along with the professors. There is a custom book package being created for us print is 813.80 and there is a print plus eBook one for 1167.30. The editions change every 2 years. For your flu shot...you are to get it twice a year. Yes twice! I don't want it period! New formulas are produced so you need to keep current with the latest one. Again I would wait until you are closer to your orientation because they will give you a deadline for everything. You have to order name tags that cost. I think I basically summed up everything for you guys! Oh as far as switching campuses you will need to schedule appt with nursing coordinator. I asked to switch along with another girl so we'll see what happens. We got out about 3 today. Any questions just reply and I'll try and answer what I can. Enjoy the rest of your day!
