Hello all HCC Fall 2011 hopefuls! I have been following the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 threads and thought maybe it was time to start Fall 2011 now that the application process has started.
I just turned my application in this past week and received my confirmation notice in the mail. Anyone else out there that has turned in their application?
What are your plans over the next 8 months to prepare for the first semester (provided we get in)?
Stephanie262: Yeah, I talked to admissions and they said that the cut off was around 3.5. I would definately go see them or see if they took different pre-req grades. Make sure you look at the rubric for calculating the credits and make sure you didn't take a couple of classes more than twice....stuff like that.
My tentative plan is to attend USF for my BSN the semester after I graduate from HCC. However, I got married 5 years ago and we agreed then that we would wait to start a family until after I graduate from RN. So, if I have to take some extra time to finish my BSN so I can spend more time with a bundle of joy, I'm ok with that!
Planning to start getting my pre-req. out of the way so I can get my RN. Long way yet from any full time nursing schooling lol. Had the math and english's. Think I have to retake sociology. Any tips on who NOT to take for A&P 1??
didi768,
for Sociology, I would take Athena Smith online. I can't tell you who not to take for A&P, but I can tell you to take Mr. Worley at Southshore. He's awesome!

I took professor Lauretta O'Dell for A&P I & A&P II in Brandon Campus. It wasn't easy.
As for Sociology, I would recommend professor Michael Cole in Brandon Campus. He is great!

Good plan, it's always nice to have a balance. I'm so off balance and I'm trying to finish everything now, now now. You going to Dale Mabry campus? Any thoughts on what specialty or what department you want to work in?
