HFCC - Drug Book

Published

Does anyone know what the required drug book is for the nursing program.

Is Mosby's 2009 Nursing Drug Reference book one? What are some others?

Specializes in ICCU - cardiac.

I just graduated from HFCC and we used Davis's drug guide for nurses, 10th Ed.

Specializes in Ortho and Transplant.

Go to HFCCs' website and enter the Bookstore icon, follow the on screen directions of how to do a book search(very simple) and you can have your own list of requied and optional books.

Hi there! I had bought the Mosby's drug guide for Pharm class, because that's what they suggested. But in nursing school, when I used it, there were a few differences in the information that caused my drug sheets to be marked wrong by my instructor. If I were you, I would definitely buy the Davis's.

Also there is one by Lehne they will make you reference for your drug cards.

Thanks, guys, I was able to borrow a friends drug book for the class.

Glad I didn't buy one because they didn't have the recommended book for

pharm and it doesn't look like I will be invited to the program til January,

kinda bummed but oh well, at least I know its coming, besides I really didn't

have any more money anyways and I was trying to get the recommended book

required by the nursing program.
