Ok, this is a bit of an odd question, but I want to cut my hair for summer and I start school in August. Can someone from HFCC please tell me what they require as far as hair for clinicals? I heard your hair can't touch your collar, but I can't really put medium length hair in a pony tail - and have it look good anyways. My hair will be essentially all the same length and curly.
What was allowed? How did others manage this rule if they had shorter hair?
Thank you!

Just put your hair back with a headband. You should be fine.
Unless you saw me in a headband. LOL.

Some girls had those pinch clip things on either side. They might look cute in really curly hair.
You may be able to get away with nothing. My hair is just touching
I don't think you have anything to worry about. It's the girls with really long hair that need to put it back.
Thank you. I was wondering how much they stick to those rules. I'm just not a ponytail kinda girl.
The instructors just have a problem with blatant rule infractions. They never really were obstinate about things unless someone was being a jerk about it. They they got a little - shall we say - crabby.
One girl always tried to duck work, and fooled around a lot. She would end up getting the code browns and the difficult patients, with no help assigned her. Hee!

It depends on what faculty you are working with. Some insist, regardless of hair length or how cute you look :chuckle Others couldn't care less. It seems for me, if the faculty worked on campus at HFCC, they were strict. If it was someone who came to HFCC just to teach clinicals, they didn't care.
