HESI-RN Exit Exam

Nursing Students HESI

Published

Hello everyone I am new to this site and had a couple of questions. I am in my final semester of nursing school and will be taking the HESI-RN exit exam in a couple of weeks. I am already really paranoid because I only have a couple of attempts to pass it with a min. score of 850. I would like to know if anyone out there has taken it already who could tell me how the exam is and offer me any tips for successfully passing it.

Thanks

The hospital where I was hired as a graduate nurse strongly emphasizes Saunders' 4th Edition. Do all the questions in the book and on the disc.

I will buy the saunders book. Thanks for the info

is there a practice hesi on the internert?

I too have to pass the HESI in order to graduate, but my school wants you to get an 87% or >950 to graduate and be able to sit for the NCLEX-RN. This is really unfair, yet the reality of many of us. I have read thru the thread and found a lot of helpful info. I have all of the tools mentioned, but have been unsuccessful 3 times. I have 2 more times to take it before I an given a "Health Science" degree and sent on my merry way. Any additional advise is greatly appreciated & if anyone knows someone in the PA-NJ-DE area who is willing to do one-2-one tutoring please let me know. Like many others, I can can narrow it down to the best 2 answers, but I never get the right one in the end. :banghead::sniff::imbar:eek:

NewGN,

Tried to access floridahospital website to practice questions..and it looks like you have to be registered..it is asking for log in access.

Has anyone used the Q&A review book? One of my friends had mentioned it helped her a lot for the HESI. If so, there is one by Saunders and one from Lipincott. Which one do you suggest?

Any advice appreciated! Thanks :nuke:
