Hesi A2 Study Guides

Nursing Students HESI

Published

Hi! I plan on taking the Hesi A2 Test within the next few months and I was wondering if I could get some advice on which study guides are the best. It would be nice to just get one study guide that had everything I needed in it to study, but after reading all the reviews it seems like you need to buy more than one to cover all the sections and receive a high grade. I think I'm definately going to use the Evolve Admission Assesment guide. But, I'm not sure what else to buy. Which book(s) seemed to help everyone the most? I don't want to load myself with too much information either. I was thinking that I may also buy either the Kaplan study guide, Barrons Nursing School guide or McGrawhills Nursing School guide. Has anyone used any of those? Which books do you think are the most beneficial for the Hesi test? Are there any other resources that might help? Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! : )

Thank u sgg07, & congrats to you passing. How was the math?

hey floridatrail2006, do you know if all of those guides are current with the test thats given right now?? i dont wanna study the wrong thing :) :p

The math is 80% fractions, that's adding, substracting, division, multiplication. And then simple world problems like "if I have 3 kids and I make each one 1 lunch for school, if there are 100 days of school, how many total lunches do I make?" It would be 300 lunches.

The elsevier study guide sucks! BUT the only good thing it's for is math. You definitely!!!! need to know measurements, cups to ounces, cups to pints, etc. If I were you, I would buy a 5th or 6th grade fraction workbook at a teacher store, and BAM you will do well, I promise. It's super easy! As far measurements, you could always look that up online. For the a&p refresher, they have a discount right now and they always reply to your questions so it's kind of like having an online tutor! Good luck!! Let me know ifyou need anything else!

Thank you. Math is not my strongest subject. I will keep u posted.

I suggest you buy a 5th or 6th fraction workbook at a teacher store and it will help so much.

Andrew, your site is amazing. Thank you so much!

Thanks sooo much

I noticed on all of the threads about the HESI, there are people asking for the study guides. I have found a few study guides spread out around the forum, so I thought it might be a good idea to put them all in one place.

If you have any good study guides for the HESI A2, post them here so that people don't have to keep asking for them. :)

Here are links to the study guides that I have:

That's great

Hello, I was wondering if someone can post the Links for the HESI study Guide. Thanks Alicia

you need to purchase the actual guide if you want it. its a blue and yellow workbook. it is helpful if all you need to do is brush up on a few concepts and contains practice tests for each section. floridatrail2006 has great links to study from as well. ive gone through them before
