Has anyone used the HESI CD to study and then taken the HESI exit exam? What were your scores on the CD vs your HESI score?
Reason I am asking is because many of my friends and I are getting scores ranging from the 60's to the 80's on the HESI practice CD, and we are worried we will not pass the HESI.
What kind of scores were you getting on the practice CD, and then did you pass your HESI?

I have already graduated, but we had to do this in our last semester. We had to take at least five tests, and print out our test results. I think my highest score was a 76. I was so worried about passing the HESI on our last day. Because of exams and papers we had to write I only had 1 day to study for the HESI and the majority of the day was spent socializing b/c we were with a big group. I was so worried for nothing. I ended up getting a 92% on the HESI. The test questions were a lot harder than it actually was! Don't worry about it, you will do fine!

Wow, great info from KittyRN. I've got the exit HESI on Tuesday and am worried because my CD scores aren't so hot either.
Thank you so much, I can't tell you how much hearing that has reduced my anxiety! I have been stressing so much, thinking there was no way I was competent, b/c my scores on the practice CD have been 62% to 85%. My classmates are in the same boat.
I was hoping the CD questions are harder than the actual test itself!

Thanks Kitty,
I am so glad to hear the CD is harder then the actual test because I stink at the CD questions! I usually get in the low 60's and I am an A student! My entire class is so stressed because if we don't pass in 2 attempts we fail the class despite our grades. That is so frightening!

May I ask where did all of you get your CD's to practice the HESI exam. I am in my last semester of LPN school and I know they are going to give us the HESI exam. But they have not told us this as of yet. I noticed it on my school bill I recieved, I payed 35 dollars for the exam. I am sure they are going to spring it on us at the end. So if any of you know where I can get one, it would be greatly appreciated.

I was *just* freaking about this yesterday! I took a practice HESI yesterday. I got my CD from the company that makes the test, bought it with the book online. I got a 77. I think they say you should get a 75 and 85 is recommended. I'm freaking too about taking the actual HESI. The questions seemed hard, like 2 or 3 answers would be correct. The SAUNDERS NCLEX-PN practice cd is much easier than HESI, IMO!

I don't mean to bring anybody down but.....from the Hesi's I have taken so far the CD questions compare to actual test questions (difficulty). I do agree the Nclex practice questions are much eaiser. At my school we get two chances to pass the Hesi or we don't graduate, and we must score at least a 950 to pass. I am worried :uhoh21:. From my understanding there is a standard exit Hesi or your school can have one custom-made. Good luck to everyone!
Late answer here, but I just found out my score on the exit HESI, and it was much better than my 70's-80's on the HESI practice CD.
Well, I have to update that I scored a 968! I was thrilled, let me tell you, it was so scary pushing that button to get the final score! My teachers gave the option of allowing us to leave the room and having them push the score button and then come out and inform you of your score, but I could not wait so I did it myself.
So I have talked to my classmates who passed, and we all seem to agree the HESI CD was slightly/moderately more difficult than the Exit Exam itself. We were all scoring what we thought was poorly on the pratice CD, but we all ended up passing. Maybe it was all the studying we did made the test look easier, not really sure. But reviewing and understanding the rationales on the practice CD definitely helped with the content on the actual exam.
Hope this helps anyone else taking the HESI. Good luck! :)

Got a 61% on the final exam on the HESI CD and a 91% on the actual final HESI.
