Hey all,
I was accepted into a 2 year BSN program that starts in January and have been in the process of fulfilling all of my clinical clearance materials (information I received a month ago). However, I just got my Hep B Surface AB results back and it shows that I'm not immune to Hep B, probably because the last time I completed the series was back in 1994. I'm just worried now because I was told I need to restart the entire series and I know it takes about 6 months for all 3 doses to be administered. My clinical starts in March, but Clinical Clearance is due in a couple of weeks, and by the time clinical starts, I'll only have 2 doses administered. I'm worried that my school won't let me start clinical and I'll be pushed back a semester or, worse, dropped from the program. Any insight on this matter would be really greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I guess it depends on the individual program so talk to them. I'd assume having started the series again already you should be fine.

Talk to your school. Mine just requires you to have the first shot done before school starts.

Talk to your program for exact requirements. Mine requires that you have the first shot done before the program starts and then requires proof of boosters in timely fashion (with in a couple of weeks of administration) to maintain compliance.
Thanks so much for your feedback and helping calm my nerves! I got the first dose yesterday, and I'm going to go in person to talk to the school tomorrow.
