help,,US Citizen, can I get hired in US without taking Philippine boards?

hello guys... good day to you all out there... pls guys i need your help and advise.. i am a us citizen but i grew up here and took my BSN here and im from Texas and im returning this year.. i already have a SS since birth.. but i havent took the local board here in the PI.. because we are suppose to leave already.. what do you think i should do best when i return to the states? please guys i need your reply.... thank you soooo much.. pls you got to help me out.. hoping for your reply.. i know some of us here are in the same boat... so please you got to help me.. thanks 1s again...

Getting hired isn't the problem it is whether the state requires the local exam or not. Some members have posted the issues they are having because they didn't take and pass local exam. Things are always changing so I would say better to check with the state BON and see what they say

we're on the same boat. im a us citizen, graduated nursing in the philippines, but didnt take the local board. silverdragon is right, getting hired is not the problem, it's how to get your license. and yes you can get hired without taking local board exam, all you need to do is be qualified to take the nclex exam to get a license. that was my situation before 3 years ago but all went fine. ive been eligible to take the nclex, got my license, and got hired..and im from texas, too..
