Dear Ms. ... :
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to talk to me about the ER position. I appreciate your time and consideration in interviewing me.
After speaking with you and (name), I believe that I would be a good candidate for this position, offering the quick learning and adaptability that is needed for a fast paced enviorment for this position. In addition to my enthusiasm for performing well, I would bring great skills and customer services to your department.
I am very interested in working for you and look forward to hearing from you once the final decisions are made regarding this position.
Thank you again for your time and consideration. Sincerely,

Should I add/delete anything? it's an ER position.. Any feedback would be appreciated. I will be delivering it to the ER tomorrow morning by hand. Should I add a smiley face? The manager has a goofy personality, she was making jokes and laughing.

Try to add something "personal" about the job itself. Something about the unit, the interview, something that shows you were paying attention when you were there. It sounds a bit too generic. Like you could write a bunch of these up at once, then fill in who the Dear Ms... is later.

I agree with the above poster, also what do u mean by "customer service". That sounds a little weird to me, they are patients arn't they? Or are you not applying for a nurse position? I dont think I would do the smiley, just say how u appreciated her time, etc. Just my opinion though!
Good Luck on getting the job!!
