Hi all

I am working on nursing care plan. My client is 90 yr old and in very bad health. She has sepsis, colitis, and dementia. She may possibly be going into hospice in future. She is totally bedridden and unable to speak. She can barely open her eyes. Her med dx is colitis and sepsis. I was wondering how to get started plus i have to do a plan involving teaching the client so I am really confused there..........

Thank you.

I'm no expert, however, I do a lot of reading on this site from previous postings. There are several postings with the same question. Someone has graciously given help to this same post.

I wrote down the web address so that I'll have it when needed. Here it goes:

Hey... you have to think of pressure ulcers and skin impairment with someone that is Bedridden; for teaching you can use the family ... i think something with coping will be good... how are they handling the illness of their family member... how do they feel about hospice care... Hopefully it will help you... Good luck!!
