This is my first time posting on this site, I've heard great things about it! I'm a little stuck on coming up with a nursing diagnosis - my patient was admitted for orthostatic hypotension. I thought of Ineffective Tissue perfusion, but can't think of a "r/t" for it. I can't use Impaired Physical Mobility or and "Risk for" diagnoses either! Anyone have ideas?
Thanks,

You could do decreased cardiac output r/t (orthostatic) hypotension aeb (whatever their BP is)

hints:
what is orthostatic hypotension?
what happens when it occurs? how do you and/or the patient know it's happening?
what might happen then?
would this be bad? what would you do to prevent it or decrease the risk of harm to the patient? is there something you could anticipate, and teach your patient to do to prevent this?
if you have the answers to these (and you can find them in your text), you're there. this helps you learn how to do that, too.
