Please tell me your opinions on being a nurse, what do you enjoy and what is not so great about being a nurse.
What is the most rewarding aspect of being a nurse, what do you find are the drawbacks?
I want to be a nurse and the best thing for me to do is ask other nurses about their experiences to get an idea of what to expect besides volunteering.
Those of you who are currently in Nursing programs and/or applying to Nursig programs, what is the experience liek for you and do you have any suggestions?
What do I do if I don't have any professors I have veery close to that I can depend on to write mea STRONG letter of recommendation in regards to my academic abilities?
Any feedback is appreciated.

I don't understand something. Are you already in a nursing program or not b/c you're asking about letters of reference. References for employment or to get into nursing school? I suggest you find some professor somewhere to give you a reference. Nursing programs are very competitive. I also suggest you get a job as a pca so you can get your foot in the door somewhere before you graduate from a nursing program. And I like being a nurse. It's nice when you get to save someone's life or when a patient thanks you for saving their life or when the family sends a card and candy to the staff, only 3-12 hr shifts a week. Drawbacks..getting yelled at by patients/family/doctors, being stepped on by management, not being paid enough for what we have to deal with, dealing with death and dying.
