This is the lowest i had ever felt in my life. This is so humiliating....I almost wish i am dead...feel sorry for my husband...he sacrificed so much to send me to nursing school...and i can't help him yet. I have no energy to study.
i am so discouraged. especially when i read the statistics...i learned that the chances of failing nclex again is so great that only about 5% pass the second time. we are so tight on money and can't afford to waste more time...please help...somebody...just to talk to me...i do not know what to do...i cried so much and i get so overwhelmed trying to study again. i admit i am an average student...i got mostly B's in school and...yes about 4 C's. Is there hope? I tried Kaplan--partly...i have other books. any suggestions? anybody.

Please, you are not alone and many have gone before you. This is certainly not your first failure in your life and you lived to tell about all the others! Take a deep breath...let yourself be upset by this, but give yourself a deadline to stop. Then you need to concentrate on studying and taking it again. It's NOT the end of the world...I promise! Read past posts here about what others have done and how they have studied for taking it a second time. Then make a plan and stick to it. If you have to take it 5 times, then so be it. Don't give up! It is NOT an indication of your intelligence or apptitude, but could be nothing more than test taking issues. But make sure you pick yourself up and go on.....study like crazy....get some support if you can from others that you went to school with. And keep in touch here....there are so many that care.

Hi,
I feel sorry, it must be very sad after being study for so long, but it is not the end of the world, think that many had passed for the same, and after the bad times, they regain strength and get better prepared for taking it again, so don't be disappointed, just think that for some reason, the things are coming in this way. The important thing, is that you don't lose your confidence, remember that you graduate from a hard program, you work so hard to be here, so you only need to study with other techniques. I'm using also Kaplan but only that program, I tried to use it as my only resource to review and practice test questions. I'm going to take the NCLEX in CA, Aug 15, and I found this forum very helpful to increase your self esteem. So, if you read the forum, may be you will get many advices for taking the test again.
Take care, and good look!!

Ok so it didn't work the first time. Do not get discouraged that nclex test is a nasty beast. Pick yourself up it is not an indication whether you will be a good nurse or not. I don't think anyone is prepared for the nclex and what to expect. Keep on a schedule and study doing as many questions as possible I used saunders, Mosby and lippencott books and the Hesi book which highlights the main things to know. Schedule another nclex as soon as possible you can do it have faith. I believe in you

Listen, so many other bad things could have happened to you. Many people take the Nclex and do not pass. My cousing took the test 4 times before she finally passed. It was through prayer that God finally opened the door. You need to start praying instead of throughing a pitty party. God is great and mighty, and there is nothing impossible that he cannot do. You need to start having faith on Him and know He is the Great I am. Good luck to you. start prayinggggggggggggggg
to all of you.
i appreciate the kindness each of you expressed. it meant a lot. I will be going to a review called martinreview in chicago next week. perhaps that would help. thank you all.
i do not know how or what to tell my friends and family...well...i guess they will know somehow...but what is a good respond.

My prayers are with you! Remember: if God got you to it, he will get you through it.

I'm really sorry to hear that you failed. I can't imagine what it would feel like becaue I haven't been there but I can say that God only gives you what you can handle and I do believe in this. This whole situation will hopefully be a learning experience and a chance for you to build more confidence in the long run. You will pass the NCLEX and won't ever have to look back on how you feel right now. It think it is best to try different study tactics and a different book for the next round though. That is what I have heard. Good luck to you.

Good Luck in taking the test again. Maybe the questions you studied were just not the ones on the test this time. Hopefully next time will go better. With so many possible questions it is impossible to know exactly what to study. I did find a book called 3000 nursing bullets but I cant remember who it was written by right now. You could possible enter this on amazon and find it. Any ways this book comes in both pn and rn versions and it was a great book that I studied and believe it helped alot. Good Luck on your next try.

Have you tried a live review course? It kinda helped me, but it prepared me in more ways that one. Pray and develop a plan to help guide you in the right direction. Just a little side note after the fact... remember lab values, and vitals for children and infants, also milestones for children are really important, best wishes.

God loves you and he has a plan that nothing (including NCLEX can stand the way). He didn't get you threw nursing school for nothing. I read the entire Kaplan book one week before my test and I answer 25-35 questions a day for a month before I took my test. Actually, I graduated May 13th, took a month off (b/c I was so burned out). Started doing questions on June 13th, tested on July 13th. I wouldn't recommed taking a NCLEX review class b/c my classmates that did said they don't think it helped. I didn't and still passed. Reading the Kaplan book and answering only a few questions a day (don't want to over do it) is the key. Good luck and I am praying for you (although I don't know you). Continue to put God first.
The review class helped in the fact it put things into perspective, Like this is an important test, this test is not like any other test, sorta refocus your "nursing school" test taking abilites and changes them to N-clex test taking strategies. IF you have the money invest in a good live review course, maybe Hurst... only IF you have the funds. good luck
