I already have a bachelor's degree in another field, but I want to go back to school and become a nurse. Now that I've gone and gotten all excited about actually doing this, I'm starting to lose hope because I can't find a program!
I couldn't find any Masters programs in the surrounding area (I'm in Memphis, TN), so I looked into accelerated BSN programs, but I don't have enough left in undergrad loans to complete those programs.
I've researched this all on my own so far and now I'm beginning to wonder if there's a program I haven't found/heard of/etc.
What are my options?
Thanks!

Look into a community associate degree program

Google ABSN with your state name. I know that Illinois at least has a .gov website listing all approved schools in the state, from LPN up to MSN/DNS.

I was in your exact situation a few years ago. Originally, I earned a BA in English but I totally maxed out my financial aid before I thought about applying to an accelerated BSN program. The ELM programs in my area were way too expensive, so I decided to take the longer, but far less expensive route. I will be getting my ADN at the local community college then I will enroll in an RN-BSN program. They are not nearly as impacted as the ABSN programs in California. Good luck!

Is relocating an option? Maryland has several schools you might be interested in.
