Hello there,
I just took the Pn exam myself on Monday and boy it was tough but i kept being positive all the way and am ready for whatever outcome, know your weak areas during your practice tests and fix them, there is no magic bullet, tests are individual. To be frank, the best tip is to be confident in yourself and yet not overly confident, you did the hard work to graduate and the nclex is one more thing for you to do. Being nervous is ok to a minimum because it stimulates your brain to think better but when you are too nervous then it will work against you.You need to adopt some relaxation techniques and just breath easy. Now if i were you,at this time in the game you need to get your ATI tests and practice as many as you can preferably 5 or so since you have little time, getting good scores on them is important and so is reading every rationale because that is your teaching.Download and print this Rn cramsheet and use it for the last 2 days http://www.learningshark.com/Nursing/Nursing Homepage/NCLEX-RN_Cramsheet.pdf
whatever books or cds you are using, read over the rationales and good luck. When i came home i was dissapointed and believed i failed but when i did the puerson trick, i had the good pop up and so am hoping for the best for now. I will let you know when i pass or fail, the thing is, i took it and i never allowed myself to be intimidated and don't be intimidated.

I am my own worst enemy when it comes to thinking positively. I took my NCLEX -PN exam this morning and the computer shut off at 85 questions. I wasn't feeling so great about the exam, but I remained positive. I had heard about this PVT trick and I came home and have done that several times since this morning and I got the "good" pop-up, so I'm hoping that's a good sign.
I would continue to use the Exam Cram books and the Saunders PN book to study. I did ton's of questions and researched things I was unsure of.
Good luck to you!

I took my NCLEX PN on Aug. 20 and found out i passed on Aug. 22. I had only 85 questions also and i finished in under an hour. I really felt like i did not pass, but God favored me :)!!! I really studied ATI and exam cram. I focused on the rationales and learned how to answer the SATA questions and priority questions. Good luck!!!

Think positive!!! I am testing in like 2 weeks and I am using Saunders. I am telling myself, the day I take boards will be the day I am a nurse. That makes me excited thinking about it. Instead of thinking of it as a test, think of it as a game.

If you have studied well and gone over your weak areas then you have what it takes. Tip: re read NCLEX test-taking strategies to refresh. I studied with the ATI Tutor. I took my PN exam this past Tuesday, it shut off on 85 questions, just got my results and passed. Stay positive, use a breathing technique when you are nervous, exercise and eat well. My best wishes for you
