I transitioned from dialysis to medsurg floor a month ago, after being a dialysis nurse for 5 years. I am having a rough time and wanting to quit while on orientation. Bedside nursing is something I cannot do.

If you are truly trying to leave dialysis, try to hang in there. Med/surg can open doors to other areas. Dialysis is just a very different animal, and coming or going can be true nursing culture shock
Thank you

Hi there! It's been going well. I am now working in Cardiothoracic surgical ICU. To be honest, the transition was challenging but it can be done as long as you hang in there. I gained more skills, definitely made me a stronger nurse. You can do it!
