My daughter too Nclex yesterday. 15 minutes later she had this message :"The candidate currently has an open registration for this exam. A new registration cannot be created at this time" She was unable to continue to c.c. page. After a few more tries, and getting the same message, it finally allowed her to reregister, and she did. Is it possible she passed after all? I heard Pearson gives everyone the same initial pop up now to discourage using this trick.

Hmm. Idk. I would have waited to reregister. I feel like she passed if she got the good pop up initially.

I would have waited to hear officially before spending the $200 bucks. Time will tell :)

You know, the Pearson Vue Trick is just a trick to possibly determine if a test taker passes or fails. In now way is it 100% dependable and/or correct. There is a high probably of passing if you receive the good pop up, but any other result from the trick is up in the air. Best to wait for the quick results or search the BoN website.
No one can tell you if your daughter passed or not. We could speculate but that would mean nothing in the end. Sorry, that is just how it is.

If it let her reregister, chances are she failed! The "open registration" and "recently scheduled" pop are different. If you get the "open registration" pop up it means you checked too quickly!

The open registration is different from the good pop up. I got it too when I checked too soon after my test. That's what you see before the test has been delivered and graded. The good pop up says our records indicate you have recently scheduled this exam. .. But remember the pop up isn't necessarily 100% either way. Good luck to your daughter!
Bad news! She failed. What I don't understand is that she had a 3.7 GPA, honor society, did well in NYC clinicals, etc. etc. Hope she can find her way
Very sorry about the news, she shouldn't let this deter her from trying again and becoming a nurse. Not everyone passes on the first try. It is a difficult test that at times is compounded by the stress we apply to ourselves to succeed. Her grades, performance in clinicals, and admission to honor societies are only part of the story and may not actually have anything to do about the performance on boards. Nerves can get the best of you no matter how well of a performer you are.
Explain to her that being discouraged is common in these situations, but don't let this define what kind of nurse she will ultimately become.
You can be the brightest student and still fail. Do not let it get her down. Just have her take a few days off to do "her things" nails, massage, whatever! Then she can regroup. I'm pretty sure NCLEX sends you a packet if you fail with things to brush up on studying. She can look at that and ace it the next time! :) Best of luck!
