I am scheduled for NCLex RN in 3 days and I am worried that my Kaplan scores are not good enough.
Q1 48
Q2 60
Q3 61
Q4 64
q5 64
q6 54
q7 58
q bank average 57%
Sample 1 54
Sample 2 56
Sample 3 80
Sample 4 32
All of the sub categories are in the 50s. Am I ready? Please help! I am so freaked out and scared.
Please advise! Should I take it or reschedule. Need advise please!

Okay, take a deep breath.... First of all I don't think that anyone here can accurately tell you if you are ready to take the NCLEX, even with posting the Kaplan scores. There are people that passed with scores similar to yours and there are people that failed with scores higher than yours. The scores alone will not tell you if you are ready.
Anyway, I suggest that you find a way to relax a little and look at things realistically. How were you doing on the quizzes? Have you remediated all the practice questions and figured out why you missed the questions? Was it a lack of content knowledge or did you not read the stem of the questions correctly?
Some how you need to find a way not to freak out and come to a decision. If you postponed the NCLEX, what would you do to better prepare? Would you feel the same way once the new NCLEX test date was closer? These are just some of the questions you can ask yourself.
I know you wanted someone to reassure you that the Kaplan numbers are good enough to pass (which could very well be the case), but there are just too many variables at play here.
No matter the decision you make, be confident with it and do your best.
Thank you, Rob. I think I misphrased the question. I was hoping that others with scores similar to mine would respond and say if they passed it. I think my scores are on the 'just barely' line and if anyone with scores that were similar took it I would love to hear if they passed.
Yes, of course I have studied rationales and retaking only questions I missed I am getting scores in the mid 60s to mid 70s.
I don't think anyone can un-stress or become less freaked out, it is NClex after all!
So-if anyone has taken NClex RN 2014 with Kaplan scores similar to mine, I would love to hear from you!
Thanks!

My scores were similar to yours and I passed with 164 questions on June 9th. Best advise is to really read the question think about similar questions you've seen and what was that correct answer. It's really not that bad if you can get pass the nerves, wouldn't want to take it again but it's not impossible!!!!! Just take your time and read the questions, you've got this!!!!

Carolina_mom, Did you find alot of the questions were similar to Kaplan?
Caroline mom, thank you! Did you think that NClex was easier than Kaplan? I am about to retake the readiness test. For anyone who wants to do that, you have to call Kaplan to ask them to unlock it.

Hi,
I passed NCLEX in january. My kaplan scores were lil low than yours. Still i passed the test. Dont think of the scores, just trust yourself and in God. Be confident. You can do it.
Good luck.............

My Kaplan trainer scores (1 2 3 4 5 6 ) were in the high 50's middle 60's. Sample test 1 and 2 60's test 3 80 something test 4 30's. I did all the Q bank questions and re read every single rational. I took my test June 14 and it cut off at 75. I got the good pop up from Pearson Vue. Will get definite results tomorrow. Hope that helps.
I just finished the readiness test again and got a 71%. That is supposed to translate into a 99.3% chance to pass. Does anyone know if those predictor ratings are valid for the second time you take it?
Can't say that the question are the same, but what I can say is that if you understand how Kaplan is answering the questions than you will be fine for nclex. Go in knowing how to knock out two and then pick the best out of what's left. No one ever goes in feeling prepared and walks out thinking they've passed. I did ever question Kaplan had and the more I did the better I got, keep practicing, I think you'll do great.
