Hi Everyone,
My name is Joanna and this is my first post on this forum. I'm looking forward to applying to accelerated nursing programs for Spring 2011, but first I've got a couple of prereqs to finish up--the biggest one being Anatomy and Physiology. I'd like to get started on it soon, because I'm running out of time--August is my deadline! I'm currently living abroad, so the course I take needs to be online or correspondence, but I'm having a really hard time finding anything affordable. Any help or suggestions? I'm a Texas permanent resident. Thanks!

Check with Ocean County Community College. Their spring term starts this week. However, this is not a cheap school. Out of state residents pay about $1000 per course. http://www.ocean.edu

Also check out Northern Virginia Community A&P I on 2/1 and they have an A&P2 starting on 3/1. I don't know out of state, but in state was around $400. They allow you to do an 8 week class, a 12 week class or a 16 week class.
You do have to have a proctor for your 8 tests, so you might want to think about that.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Just a side note - check to make sure the nursing programs you'll be applying to don't require a lab component...many schools won't accept online A&P classes. Something to keep in mind. Good luck!
Thanks everyone!

I agree make sure you will not need a lab, all the nursing schools I have looked into require a lab with my A&P.
