Greetings. Deb is going to put a sticky on this thread and eventually delete the other.

This is the thread where members come to share their journey to wellness and wholeness.

It's a holistic thread, talking about all apects of health, not just diet and exercise, but the mind and spirit as well. All posters are welcome (not just Premium Members) and encouraged on a periodic basis to share what you're doing, what you need to do and how you're going to do it, and what you know!

LOL you guys - I like it "The Zoe & Tweety Show". Hehe. Now you can add in the catchy subtitle . . . "A day with Rain". :D You can even use me in there - sure - sddlnscp can be in the balloon above somebody's head when they are really angry, you know, in place of *%@!!!

Ok, obviously I would not make a good producer. :p

Ha ha, you are too cute, sister!

It's so hard to get started, I don't even know where to start.

Can I get a witness? You got THAT right!

Well as my preacher says, you gotta stop reading about fishing, you gotta stop going to the seminars about fishing, you ought to stop getting speaking awards for teaching about fishing - you just gotta GO fishing... if you're gonna catch any fish. :trout:

I am with Zoe. It is really hard to get started Rain - that is always the worst part. I am actually right there with 'ya. I had been so good for about a year, lost about 50 lbs and was feeling awesome . . . until I started actual nursing school . . . as I mentioned earlier, I have sinced gained about 20 back and am feeling yucky. I keep telling myself, I am going to start working on myself again. . . tomorrow. Amazing how many tomorrows there can be. I wonder why we do this to ourselves? It feels so much better to feel good, but it seems so hard to get over the first hurdle and get going. We can do it though! I have faith! And I will be fine . . . just as soon as my office pals quit bringing over the left-over pumpkin desserts from Turkey Day!!! :p

Hi Sarah! Glad the procedure went well.

Rain, staying physically fit and eating well has a definate connection to my emotional wellbeing. I can definately tell when I fall of the wagon how bad I feel in all areas. Take some baby steps, keepig it one day at a time.

Good advice from your preacher Zoe.

Heya Tweety! I missed your post earlier when I was scanning, sorry bout that. I am glad your BP is coming down, even if it does have to be for something that is so emotionally draining for you. My thoughts are with you and I hope you find happiness again soon!

You are so right, it seems that if one thing is out-of-whack, it messes up everything! Hopefully we can all get back on track here and get the ball rolling towards a nice, healthy new year!

Well everyone, here we are in December. Happy 1st of Dec. everyone! I don't know about y'all, but I am thinking the beginning of the month is a good time to get a fresh start on my body. (Errr - I put on my "baggy" jeans and they barely fit and that got my attention - yikes!) So, in order not to overindulge later, I am thinking we should all treat ourselves to a little piece of all that yummy home-made stuff that keeps making it's way into our office once a week or so, just keep it little. Then exercise and make up for it with tons of veggies. At least, that is my plan. Anybody else have a plan to get back on track prior to new year's? How about a good goal to keep in mind to get us there? Mine is my Boss's X-mas party, it is on the 16th and i want to loose some of this weight so I don't feel like a balloon (or look like one) that night. ;)

Have a good weekend everyone!

Good luck Sarah. Sounds like you're motivated.

I'd join you but I already had two pieces of the "rolled cake" thingie that was so good. Three different ones, but I wasn't too greedy and only sampled two.:

Well when it is your SON'S baggy pants that no longer fit ... sigh...

Today was weigh in day (1st of the month) -3 lbs off since I'm not sure when - one month or less? I just arbitrarily decided on the 1st so I don't get too wiggy about an ounce or two in between (chuckle)

Used to be I made myself wait til at least a few days after my period, first thing in the morning before breakfast, no clothes on, and having, er, how is it tactfully said? having had my BM so I have NO extra weight on HA HA! (anybody relate?)

Thanks Tweety - it's ok, it's the holidays that mess us up every year. I think I recall us attempting to survive this last year.

ROFL Zoe - yes, I completely relate!!! Congrats on the going downhill instead of uphill. I am working on it. I had a slice of turkey rolled over a little piece of fat-free cheese and a ton of celery & some carrots for lunch. Now I am drinking water. :) Not sure what's for supper, but I'm sure it will be healthy. :D

Have a great weekend y'all!

Take care all - have fun this weekend (if you can) which fosters a sense of well-being which causes us to take better care of ourselves...

Hi Tweety,

Glad that you hope others join . . . I want to join.

I noticed that I am not the only one wanting to loose weight. Would anyone mind being an accountability partner with me? No pressure. I need to loose weight slowly. Preferrably over the next year.

I would like to drop about 30-40lbs. Right now, my biggest problem is eating the wrong foods. I am not trying to diet per se. I am just trying to change my dietary lifestyle. (Small problem with Starbucks self medication. Well . . . okay . . . it's a BIG problem with the Starbucks issue.):uhoh21:

My only request is that whoever wouldn't mind joining me wouldn't mind putting up with someone who has a goofball personality, major depression, and likes God. These are the things that make me who I am.

Forewarning: I do have days when the only neuron functioning in my brain is reaching out to receive neurotransmitters from black jack tree branches. So far no termites as neurotransmitters.:lol2:
