Wanting to improve health. Please help.
Hi everyone, I've been a nurse for about 3 years now. All my life I've been pretty active and in good shape. But when I started nursing school I gained a few pounds from the lack of time, all the studying, sleepless nights, and stress.
I thought once I started working that I would have more time to focus on my health and start being active again. But I've been more busy than ever and having to deal with everyday life has caused me to pick up a bad habit of stress eating.
The weight gain has caused me to lose confidence in myself, I feel more tired throughout the day, and gives me mood swings I never had before. I really want to start focusing more on my health but am looking for a little assistance, tips, referrals, etc. Is anyone having a similar experience as me?
I'm pretty experienced in the gym from pre-nursing school days. And I'd really like to work with someone who can guide me, help me monitor my nutrition, and basically just hold me accountable. Do you guys know any health coach's I can work with 1 on 1? Maybe someone who is a nurse so they're more understanding with my stress and work schedule?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
