I'm staying right at 155. Need to do more daily exercise.

I'm glad I haven't gained the 10 pounds back.

But I'd like to get under 150. When I met my dh, I weighed 115 . . . . and this was after two kids. Too skinny though - even he said so.

I'm headed out in the sun for a walk.

Good luck y'all on the rest of the day's activities and FOOD. ;)

Zoe - the 115 was AFTER a bad divorce . . . .I was still nursing my #2 son and not eating . . . it was too skinny.

I hope I have a good day too. My hubby and I just walked two miles at the track - such a nice day.

The bad thing is you only burn about 100 calories per mile . . . .which is the same whether you jog or walk. Weird.

I'm ready for some mashed potatoes and gravy. ;)

G'day folks! I'm back on the "diet" starting today as I promised myself. I know I've gained some weight, but that's o.k. I'm forgiving and leaving yesterday behind. :)

Good for you Tweety - forgiving yourself and leaving yesterday behind.

Typical of me, instead of dessert last night, I had a bowl of mashed potatoes and gravy. This was technically my 3rd helping of potatoes.

My husband thinks I'm weird - to turn down pumpkin or apple pie or dessert of any kind . . . he always says "Eat Dessert First". I don't have a real sweet tooth though . . . I like good food and salty stuff. And more helpings. ;)

And I'm not getting on a scale this morning. :trout:

Went to the first bra hook today - and down a pants size! Worth all the cravings I've had this week, yayyy!

Hello all,,

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We did.

I will be checking in much more often, at least that is the plan. My eating/weight . . . yep, it's definitely a mess. Anywhoosie, I like the accountability from everyone and noticed that I did much better when I had it.

Life has not changed too much this direction. Hope everyone has a safe weekend.

Way to go Zoe!!!

Steph, sometimes it's best not to get on a scale, because you just know it won't be pretty.

Nice to see you Gentle. Best wishes.

I'm off to the gym here in a few. Yesterday was a good day and I don't have that bloated full feeling I've been having this week. :)

I haven't been keeping up with this thread lately, as I should have been. I, too, have gained a couple of pounds back (4 pounds to be exact) ... and am using this long weekend to get back on track.

I've been really great about exercising regularly and am developing muscles. That has allowed me to blame the first pound or two on the fact that muscle is heavier than fat. But I now have to admit to myself that I have also been eating more as all that exercise makes me hungry! I am going to have to do a better job on the caloric intake end.

As I told a good friend the other day ... I probably have 6-pack abs. I just can't see them under all those layers of fat!

And Tweety ... I am sending you a PM about another thread that might interest you.

It's a balance, when "dieting" we have to eat a certain amount or the body thinks it's starving. Now my body is never subjected to that, TRUST ME, lol.

Hi everyone,

Geez, you can't imagine how good it is to be back. The accountability from everyone here is definitely my motivation. You guys and gals are wonderful.

Ate well, for everyone in the house. walked only 1.2 miles but did get the heart rate up into the 120s-130s and kept it there for the 25 minutes. Kids were in swimming lessons at the time. Hopefully more time and less food will culminate into a much less aching me.

My number 1 motivation for losing the weight?

Tired of acrobatics on the toilet. It just isn't good to gain this much weight.

Hmmm, maybe that was a bit TMI.

I'll sign off now.
