Perfect job for me = no more than 32 hrs/week, days, most weekend/holiday shifts off but a few won't kill me. And NO ON CALL!!! Other than that, no idea.
Off to the treadmill and a quick yoga tape before work. Clawing my way back onto the wagon!
We have a prayer list thread going, bluehair, if you want to post on that! I am happy for you!

I am doing better the last couple days, got placed on antihypertensive yesterday and I am NOT happy about it! I know what I have to do - you guys, don't be so easy on me! This is getting serious.

You know how it is, time to wash the clothes or everyone stands around in underwear . Sooooo, the laundry is almost finished. I still have to wash all the sheets but we now have plenty of clean nice smelling clothes for the week. :spin:.

...We have a small pool in our community so I swam 4-5 laps this evening. Now then, about that spinach and eggs . . . umm, yes, we mix them. it's called scrambled eggs with spinach. ... Whoa, sorry to hear about the ants . . . and fire ants at that. Not too nice if they get grumpy. How long did it take you to finally get rid of them? Was anyone stung? Hope not.
Cracked me up about the underwear!

I am skeptical about the spinach/eggs, but I do like spinach quiche so it may be ok - better to have eggs W/ a veg than without... does anyone really think Eggland Eggs could possibly be lower cholesterol as they claim by the way?

I've never really thought that the eggs were much of a problem, and they're encouraged by the Doc who wrote the South Beach diet. During the first phase of the diet, I was eating eggs almost every morning in some form or another. And I lost about 14-15 lbs that first two weeks. However, I haven't had my cholesterol checked, either, so maybe it's not all that. I do exercise daily, and that has to be helpful in keeping that and the BP under control. I swear by good cardio exercise.

I went walking today, felt good - wearing my Red Sox shirt so I got lots of smiles (sticking my tongue out at you )... Ate my oatmeal fruit and salad and olive oil and chicken w/o the skin O: Will have some watermelon later tonite, maybe w/ some cottage cheese ...

Started my bp med yesterday, did I tell you guys? I just feel so much better - calmer ... I think my body was panicking and I just didn't know why...

Well I think that there was a study saying eggs were bad, then a study saying eggs were good, so I guess that means we can do whatever we want

o course part of the badness can be what we cook them in/with.

I agree with you about the eggs!

And I'm happy that you feel better today with the BP med. Take care, OK?

Hey guys I just passed my first kidney stone. Anybody have that lovely experience before? Just wanting some advice on how to avoid having this happen again. I still have to get the stone analyzed to see what it's made of. I'm fairly overweight and have currently been working at taking some of it off (6 # so far). I'm hoping that (and just eating healthier in general) will keep the kidney stones at bay!

I don't know if that has to do with weight - diet would affect it I would think, ie calcium etc ... of course, we ain't susposed to give medical advice. I do know that I feel for ya, I hear that is SO PAINFUL!

Welcome, Jackson. No, I haven't had a kidney stone, but I've taken care of a lot of patients who have and they seem to walk the fine line between snowed by pain meds and hurting, hurting, hurting. No medical advice here, but it is summer, so just make sure you stay hydrated.

Y'all, I didn't realize how long it's been since I've posted. So sorry. I have been keeping up and I am very pleased with how you are all doing .

Muffie--holy cow, girl. I am as green with jealousy as Blue is blue-haired. You rock! I'd be weighing myself every day, just for the fun of it . But, I do think it a tad rude to send that excess weight my direction . . . .

DH and I went on a longish bike ride this morning. For the first time, I almost felt proficient, LOL. I started off clutching the handlebars about a mm away from the brakes, just in case, and pedalling a few times, then gliding a bit. But, by the time we stopped I was pedaling (I spelled it both ways, one is probably right) fast just for the fun of it and turning corners like a pro. Not quite ready to pop wheelies, but no longer afraid to move my numb hands and shift off of bony prominences--although I swear, I don't see how any bones could possibly be sticking out from my well-padded hiney.

Anyway, I had a blast. Although, I am tempted to make a t-shirt with "I'm new, please pass gently" on the back .

Tweety, I really don't think you stink :flowersfo Did I hurt your feelings bringing up that old post?
