Health Care Management/Administration Degree

Published

Hi. I have been working as an LNA for about 10years. I have had experience with adults & the elderly. I am struggling with the decision to either go to school for my ADN or Health Care Management. I'm burnt out doing LNA work and the demands of the patients. I am feeling reluctant to go for Nursing because I'm not so great in the Math department, not that I can't learn, and it would haunt me if I made a fatal error.

My concern with the Health Care Admin degree is if I will get a job. I don't know if my LNA experience will be useful when looking for a job after my degree is obtained. I know many that have taken these courses have already been nurses, so would they even hire someone who has clinical experience as an LNA with a Bachelor's in Health Care Management???

I was also thinking of Human Resources Management just to get away from healthcare but I need a job that will hold strong in a weak economy. Not sure if this is a good idea or not.....any advice would be so appreciated!!!
