Anyone out there know if they are applying for the 2017 Nursing program for HCC (Hillsborough Community College)? I am! Just realized I want to do this so I'm taking A&P 1 and 2, microbiology, and sociology this summer. Apparently its called the crazy train! Anyone else doing something similar?
Analgesic see I never worked in a hospital setting only a nursing home so that's the biggest difference. Also RN get paid more at nursing homes than hospitals and they don't do anything but supervise usually.
Nursing home is ROUGH. I would get outta there if you can. It's night and day between a nursing home and the hospital. My parents wouldn't let me work in the nursing home. My mom started as a RN there and she knew it would be a bad experience.
Oh no Analgesic I don't work at a nursing home any longer lol I can't stand lazy workers and I hate doing everything. I think I'm just going to stick with not working for now and just focus on nursing school. Let's all keep our heads up and stay positive we have only 3 weeks left in September don't worry.

haha I don't blame you!!
Once we're in the nursing program we really do have a lot of more opportunities to find a job in the medical field . a doctors office told me he would hire me as a secretary in his office and I could build myself up while in school to be a RN in his office . so excited and this office works for st. Josephs hospital !
Your right Bellalinda because they know we will
be an asset once we finish nursing school. I think a doctors office is get for flexibility and benefits but what about your hospital experience? Also everyone all my info had been "recieved" as a posed to asap so I'm so
anxious hopefully they give us our letters the end of this month instead of October fingers crossed!
