Have guys heard about this?
For those IEN there? Have you tried to endorse your RN license from other state here in Cali??
I have a "friend" that "her friend" took couple times NCLEX RN here in cali, then after of failure many time CA BRN denied her for "reapplication for exam"
What happen is she apply for other state and Hawaii is her choice? Then as she waits for the process? She applied also for NCLEX PN here in cali (she's CA resident with BSN in PHI)
Then she took RN for HI state and PN for CA, she both passed it. Then when she got her HI RN lic, she tried to endorse it here CA, and CA BRN accepted her endorsement?
DO YOU THINK GUYS IT'S POSSIBLE??? I DON'T KNOW THE GIRL BUT I'M SEARCHING HERE IN ALLNURSES BUT I CAN'T FIND THE ANSWERS. I HOPE THIS IS TRUE.
SO SHE CA RN NOW! ANYONE THERE APPLYING FOR ENDORSEMENT?
PS: I'M FROM CALIFORNIA, WITH LVN LICENSE GOT DENIED IN CA BRN.

As I said in the other thread.
The friend was more than likely accepted for Endorsement to CA because they already had an accepted application. Many others who have tried to endorse to CA but as initial application to CA have in all cases I have seen posted been denied. CA requires you to submit the same documents regardless on first application or endorsing as CA make their own assessment.

Since this is "hearsay" information, you're not the first to have stated this before, when asked further, these friend of a friend situation turned out be either false or never confirmed.
Unless you have personal knowledge of the actual RN, then, it's all good guess. You see if you can get this friend's name that got the endorsement and simply plug his/her name on the free CA BRN website to see if the name matches.
It's also possible and we have seen posters who were successful with endorsing their out of state license into CA, but they were pre-2005 PH grads and nurses.
As for yourself, since every application is based on its own merits, rather than asking "what if", "should I", simply submit the endorsement paperwork with the non-refundable application fees and anything else the CA BRN wants, the final decision is made from not a single person on these forum or of the many others, it's the only decision that can be made from the CA BRN evaluators that will determine if you will be approved for the endorsement.
Having a LVN license does not affect the approval process or rate of getting the RN license, as stated before, these are two completely different agencies and have no influence on each other.
