U.S.A. Hawaii

Aloha!

The application cycle opened a few days ago and was wondering if anyone else is applying to the University of Hawaii's Graduate Entry Program in Nursing (GEPN) for fall 2019?

For any current students in the program, how is the first year of the program? Do you find it difficult to maintain a work/life balance?

I'm excited to finally be applying for the DNP-FNP program!

Good luck everyone! :nurse:

The first wave of decisions should come out tomorrow for those of us who applied early September!

Good luck everyone!

Just got an email that I've been admitted to the program! So excited!

Congratulations!! I think I submitted around the same time as you so hopefully I'll receive some good news today as well. What time did you get your email?

That's awesome! When did you apply? I applied around Sept 15th. I'm hoping to receive some good news also.

Congratulations!! What time did you receive the email?

Hi everyone!

I think I've been admitted too. Yay!

Technically, the email states that I have been recommended for admission. @RTJones - is that what your email said too?

For those asking what time the email was received -- mine came at 9:50 AM Hawaii Time

Good luck everyone

Congratulations @futurenursebc !

What track did you apply too?

Also, if you don't mind me asking, what is your background?

I recently graduated with a B.S in public health and didn't have much health care experience except working in a community health facility and with the Federal program called Women, Infants & Children. I applied for the FNP track.

I got the email at 9:49 am yesterday from Mr. Stutes.

The email said "We are pleased to inform you that you have been recommended for admission to the University of Hawaii at Manoa School of Nursing for Fall 2019."

I applied September 1st to the FNP track. :D

Can you send a screenshot of the email? Some of us who applied talked to Chris, and he said there where NO emails sent to anyone, only letters mailed?

Aloha everyone!

My name is Roblyt and I also got accepted into the DNP- FNP program!

Hi Robylt!

Congratulations!

If you don't mind me asking, what is your background, gpa, etc? Also when did you submit your app?

Congrats to all that got accepted. For the people that didn't receive an acceptance email but applied the same time, I wonder if that's means we didn't get accepted or got waitlisted. Hopefully the letters we receive via snail mail offer some good news.
