Having Some Second Thoughts...

Hi guys,

I have taken all the prereqs, I have an acceptance to one nursing school now as a backup for my dream school. However, I recently saw pictures of a brutally mutilated hand where the thumb was barely attached and lots of other really disturbing injuries that made me literally squirm. Now I can handle seeing bruising, I can give shots, I can deal with seeing blood, even sometimes lots of it, but bone-level mutilations?! Is this something nurses everyday overcome or is this a base-level character trait I must have to continue?

I am 100% set on nursing but this is making me really uneasy...

As long as your heart is not set on working in a trauma ED or maybe even trauma surgery you shouldn't have much of an issue.
