I am wrapping up my final few classes and found out yesterday while at North Campus from a student that had just submitted his application into the program that the standards have been changed again. There is now an open application pool until all seats are filled, hence one can apply at any time for the entry date they desire so long as there are seats available. The pre-reqs are ENC1101, AP 1 and 2 with labs, College Algebra or Gen Math equivalent and a cumulative GPA of 2.5. Yes folks 2.5 I did not make a mistake here. Hesi scores were also dropped to 75% as the accepted passing grade instead of 80 and 85.
It advised that Micro be completed prior to starting the program but it can be done while your application is in.
When I picked my mouth off the floor I asked him why such a drastic change. He said he was told that they lost some funding to the program and as a result reviewed the entry requirements and thats what it is now.
I say good time to apply at Broward while they are being nice to potential candidates. G
