The first two weeks have been awesome. I finally feel like a Nurse. The trip to London has a little to do with it. Now it's just a matter of time before I'm standing on that stage... But being on my own does scare the crap outta me.

"The first two weeks have been awesome." That is great to hear since I am right behind you. As I PM you, I have my 1 quiz down and 3 more exams to go for Psych. I am just coming up for air and to post (since allnurses said I haven't posted in a while)
I hope everything is grooooovey for everyone else this semester. I know most classes are getting ready for Exam I. Okay, kids are fed, they are happy watching Dumbo, and hubby is off to work.....now I can really study in peace!

M/S 2 is going......I am a little dazed. I understand the info. but not sure where Lecture instructor is coming from (I always feel this way before the 1st exam). She doesn't really use the textbook and lectures differ somewhat from the text. Terrified about the first exam on Wednesday.
Clinicals are good. I like Harper and the instructor.
Hey Missgigi,
Are you starting with Cardiac or respiratory?
Hey Missgigi,Are you starting with Cardiac or respiratory?
Cardiac with Ms. E...
I'd say make sure you study the strips, both ways, if the results are written out, ie, PR interval .12, wide QRS complex and ST segment depression,or with the actual strips, ask your clinical instructor if he/she can print you some off to practice with. Know when to call the Dr. based on the rhythm. Know how left sided heart failure leads to right sided heart failure and the s/s with each and study the med math book, I believe it chapters 17&18 for heparin drips. And of course there are always meds on the test. I know your gonna do well.
Thanks for the direction (much needed direction) I am soo freaking out about this exam. I appreciate your input. Congrats for getting to that final semester!!!

No prob. You'll be here sooner than you think. I've already started to freak out. NCLEX is looming over my head. Yikes!
Know when to call the Dr:yeahthat: THAT my friend cost me a couple of points on exam 1.....I was ready for exam 2.
I remember going thru the exam asking myself.....what will I see, and what will I do? Steph, in your words, "I bout had a stroke" that week following exam 1. You will not see your results till the next class session. My kness were like butta. It was just fear of the unknown...I passed!:w00t:
What unit are you on at Harper?
