There's a good thread on this with all the info you will need. Try scrolling a few pages in on the pre-nursing forum, or google it from within allnurses.com (page down for the in-forum google line). Good Luck!

Hey, I'm going to post a response on the thread that Bert just referred you to...but I'll still give you my response. Everyone is different, so don't let my assessment allow you to under prepare.....IT WAS CAKE. I scored in the 98th percentile. My husband and I took it together and he scored in the 77th percentile. Either way we both passed way over what our school requires. I did buy a study book, worked the midnight shift last night and did a practice test....and maybe that few hours of reviewing the test taking methods was worthwhile but I will say this:

1. Do the questions you know first. it's all about how many you get right, not how many you answer or even how many you get wrong.

2. If you aren't sure, don't kill yourself over a question...worst case scenario, guess.....it's a crapshoot but again, you can focus on other questions that you might need to take the time to read through a few times. It is a timed test, I didn't get to use a calculator and was reminded why I hate fractions.

Good luck, tell us how WELL you did when you get your scores.

you usually have to contact the school where you are taking this exam for infomation since they are the ones who administer it. here is a website that has some information about the various nursing school entrance exams to give you an idea of what is on the test.

http://www.testprepreview.com/nursing_practice.htm - test prep review. free practice tests for net and teas as well an many other college entrance exams.

Daytonite makes a good suggestion, I used that website just so I would have an idea of the format of the tests. Thanks for the info Day!

Hey guys, I go out on the testprepreview site and only see written information as to what is on the test. Is there an 'actual' practice test you can take on this site. I might just be missing something.

There is a section that will allow you to take some practice questions and then evaluate your answers. On the LHS, scroll down to Nurse Entrance Test and click. Then it will list a bunch of areas on the test (our college did not requirre that we take the written expression part of the test-only the Math and Reading Comprehension) The "Main Idea" choice is a good one for the Reading Comprehension Section (although it lacks the Inference Questions that are actually on the NET)and I bought the "Study Guide for the NET" by Educational Resources, Inc that helped with the Math Section (was almost identical to the test questions, just different #'s, but, same format and degree of difficulty)
