Hello to all fellow nursing students. I just graduated last week and since then I feel lost, no sense of purpose, miss my classmates etc. Like all this nursing program never happened. What is this syndrome?

Don't know that it has a name, but I felt the same way when I got out of LPN school -- I'm officially half way to my RN, and I'm feeling weird because I don't have to read/have a test tomorrow....

I think it's called havetogrowupitis! I have the same thing goin on here. I have been out all week job hunting, and where I live, there is no nursing shortage. Then there is all the waiting and paperwork to fill out to get your license.....this stinks!

I am right there with you! It is a very weird feeling. The hectic lifestyle we lived during school has come to a screeching halt. Non-student life seems dull and boring but that will all change when we pass the NCLEX and walk onto the unit for the first day. We need to really appreciate this "down" time, we earned it. To be honest though, I have started reviewing for the NCLEX-RN so that I feel that I am being productive.

I know what you mean. Its weird because most of my life for the past 2 years have been about studying and reading now I dont know what to do with myself. I quess I just need to find my life again. I dont miss my classmates, however. Just ready to take the NCLEX and be a RN.
