It's possible. But for 6 weeks that is ALL your life will be about. Chemistry isn't too hard, it sounds more difficult than it really is...I took anatomy during the winter semester last year, I was constantly studying...I had my book with me at all times, flash cards, palm pilot,notes...I didn't allow my mind to think about anything but anatomy!! It paid off and I got a good grade. You can do it, good luck!

I took it for six weeks during a summer session and I'll tell you it was brutal. I was in class four nights and lab two nights a week and we had a test over a minimum of 3 chapters (sometimes more) every week and lab assignments due. I managed to finish with a high B, but I was really stressed and studied a LOT. I also worked full time and am a single mom, so that's probably why I was stressed so much. However, if you put your mind to it and study hard, you can do it!

I didn't do chem in a shortened period, but I did do bio and a horrible writting class...both with A's.
You totally can do it, it leaves no slacking time...so don't let yourself slack!

I did a whole year of chemistry in 10 weeks. Each semester was 5 weeks long. I worked part-time as well. It was pretty intense but it is doable. I had class and lab 5 days a week from 8-12ish (sometimes later, sometimes earlier). We had a test at the end of each week. I got an A in the first part and a B in the second part. It was worthwhile though b/c it was done quickly. I recommend it if you have good study skills and want to get it out of the way! Good luck!

ALL of my classes are 4 weeks long, yes 4 weeks. ALL my pre reqs are done 5 days a week for 4 weeks. I have completed them all and maintained a 4.0. NOW, that being said, in such that unless someone is an absolute genius, you really have to devote A LOT of time for studying especially with subjects like Micro, Chemistry, AP I and II classes. I didn't so much with Algebra and English classes as those are pretty cut and dry. It is possible but you really gotta set your mind to do it. Just remember once that grade is final, unless you want to retake it, it is final.

Not 6, but 8 weeks. The prereq for A&P at my school is a cell bio class and a survey of chem for health occupations (gen chem, o-chem and biochem). I did both of them during an 8 week summer term. I ended up with A's in both of them (and worked full time), but really it was the only thing I did. I don't have kids or anything, so that worked out.
So yes, it's possible.....but it is a lot of hard work.
Peace,
Cathie

My chem class was 5 weeks, Mon and Wed nights 5-11 and all day on Sat. I also worked full time. It was a lot of studying but it paid off. I ended up with a B (1 point from an A - which was a little disappointing at first)...but the B was all I needed to get into the nursing program. Good luck to you!

I did CHM 101 in 6 wks over the summer while working 20 hrs/week and taking care of my 2 and 4 yr olds... and got an A. I won't say it was easy--lots of VERY late nights studying. But, it was doable! I also have an incredibly supportive spouse whom I couldn't have done it without! :redbeathe

I took chem 101, bio 101 and psych 101 this last summer session. It was 6 weeks also. The chem class was my easiest as far as work load went. What really helped me is that I have strong algebra skills. You really dont need strong algebra but basic algebra domination will make this much easier for you. I also had a teacher that handed out worksheets like everyday. I dont think I even averaged 1 hour of homework a day but I always kept up with the readings and everything. Overall it was an easy class for me and I got an easy A.
I took microbiology, ap 1 and statistics this fall quarter and I can tell you it sucked 100 times worse than taking the classes I did during the short summer. For me, the biology classes are much more work.
