I am taking a critical care nursing type class next semester (my last semester of nursing school) and the book we are using is called high acuity nursing by johnson, wagner and kidd.
Has anyone ever used this book before...pros and cons of it...is it a good book?
I am so nervous about taking the class!

I think it is an excellent book. its very easy to read. Each chapter is divided into several sections. After each section there are 5-10 NCLEX-style questions over the previous material. Each chapter has a pre and post-test with more NCLEX questions. The material is challenging, but the book makes it as easy as possible to learn and study for exams.

nope. i bought it at a yard sale last summer just for that reason! turns out i need that same book for my high acuity class but a newer edition. figures that i wouldn't be able to use my $2 yard sale book for school, huh? lol!
