I fell asleep in class today. I guess I need to go to bed earlier lol. When I woke up I looked around to see if anyone else was sleeping, but it was just me. The teacher acted like she didn't notice, but I know she did because I was sitting in the front row. Has this happen to anyone else?

I have not fallen asleep in class in several years. However, over the past two years I believe I have nodded off in class several times but not to the point where I completely fell asleep and missed any lecture material. Fortunately that only happened on days where I had to work very late, like a graveyard shift, before going to school. My school schedule has gotten a lot better and has been able to mesh well with my work schedule lately so I normally get to bed at a reasonable time and can get up early enough that I can have breakfast, drink some coffee, get to school and pay attention in class without any difficulty.

Yep. Lol this girl here has .. for the past two days I've dozed off in literature class. But it's probably because I'm on campus from 9 am until 6 pm & walk at least a mile or so going to & coming from classes .. I get pretty tired & that's my last class. Plus I've been staying up late recently (it's 1:30 am now) -- yeah that's a bad habit. Try to stop it.

Not fallen asleep but I've nodded off! One my classes is 2 hours after my 12 hour.overnight shift so by then I'm exhausted. I too sit in the front row. My notes are always super detailed so I have something to do to keep me awake.

I have. I even feel asleep during my AP II final. I know I was asleep for over 10 minutes. I still did great though.

The classes were once a week, from 6:30 to 9:30 at night... I had the hardest time staying awake every week after working all day! Found myself nodding off all the time. I started carrying all kinds of snacks and drinks, and made myself take a lot more notes than was really needed just to stay alert. I will admit to playing a lot of words with friends and surfing the web on my iPad. After an hour or so I felt like I was in Charlie Brown's class *blahblahblahblah*.

What a funny thread! I fell asleep in class once, about two years ago in my intro to Bio class. My professor had a really monotone voice and I was really tired. Anyways, long story short he didn't wake me up, nor did any of my classmates. The class was from 530-645 and I woke up at 9 in a dark room. I have taken getting a good nights sleep and coffee very seriously since then!

When I went to ASU we had lecture courses with 400+ students. I think things being so general and not opinionated bored me I fell asleep atleast once a week

Ha I've been nodding off in A&P lecture but it's like I zone out more than actually sleeping but i know it's because I haven't been sleeping like I should. I work 11p-7a then I have class mon & wed from 8-1 and tues & thurs from 8-10:30
OMG! You win! That's so funny... and so not funny at the same time. I can't believe no one would wake you up when they left! I could never leave someone like that.
