Has anyone been to a DaVita open house?

Published

I went to a Davita open house and I honestly think that I did well. At the end of the interview I was told that we would hear back from them about a 2nd interview within 3 days of the open house interview. It's been 4 days and I still have not heard from them. I emailed the recruiter to follow up and no answer yet.

So I was wondering if anyone else has gone to their open house and was told that you'd hear back in a few days, but did not transpire that way.

I am wondering if they do not want you to continue in the interview process, if they would still notify you, or if they would just not get back to you at all.

I am not really sure what this situation is in my case.

Can anyone else shed some light into this?

Thanks ya'll.

I didn't go to an open house, but I did find my hiring process with them very straight forward and communicative. They didn't always call the day they said they would, but they did call within a day or two. If they haven't called by Monday, I would call them. Are you applying for a chronic center or acutes?

thanks for replying. I applied for acutes. they had the open house this past Tuesday. they said they'll let us know in 3 days. As I stated in original post, I did email the recruiter earlier today. Yes, I want to follow up again on Monday again, but I don't want to come across as too pushy ( that might be a turn off to the employer).

when did you apply?

I don't remember exactly. I probably applied some time in August and I ended up starting in acutes the third week of October. So far so good!!!

nice to know you like it. So apparently it does take a couple of months from the time you interview til the time you actually start. I just hate to wait longer than expected to hear back. I will call the recruiter next week. I just don't want to come across as too pushy. In the case that I was not one of the selected candidates to go thru to the next step, would they still contact me? or would they just not notify me at all?

I really don't know. I assumed they would notify you either way. There was almost a month between when I got my offer and when I started bc they had to do a background check and drug test and then there were two other new nurses so they wanted us to all start at the same time.

ah ok. thanks for that info. Just curious, what state/ city are you in?

Chicagoland. You?

It's Monday, no word yet. I think i'm going to call them on Wednesday, if I have not heard from them by them. Do you think they recruiters get annoyed if you call them to ask for status, even if they initially told you that they'll be in touch with you, but yet have not heard from them?

Specializes in RN, BSN, CHDN.

IT takes forever for the wheels to move, once they start moving it should be a quicker process

that's what I'm hearing from several people. But will they notify you if you're suddenly "cut out of the running"? Or will they leave you wondering for eternity? :-)
