Well, it's been a busy start up of this school year and I have not had much of a chance to check in with my pink shirt wearing friends ! Hopefully when things calm down (haha...lol...yeah right) then I can join in the conversation !

Thx I am wearing pink today, so I guess I will be in detention for being two days late!! Sweet!! Just don't let any kids in!

I have had a brutal start to the year. Busy with sick kids, 3 SUPER HEAVY DUTY 504 plans. I need a person to coordinate my parents and the kids would be a piece of cake!!!

I have spent more time trying to talk to parents, get a release of information to support a miserable attendance rate, deal with BSC people who LIVE for their kids to be ill, people questioning the nuances of a concussion policy so their kid can play in a big game....

Yes! It's been such a crappy week... On Tuesday I texted my best friend that we need drinks this weekend! Going out for a couple tonight!!

I am soooo ready for the weekend! This has been such a busy week with hearing and vision screenings, calling a bajillion parents and clinics for shot records before we start excluding kids on Monday and three looooooong SPED meetings. :sleep:

Fall Break starts at 2:45. WHO-HOOOOOOOO!!!

Sister-in-law is flying in from out of state and the whole family is going to Great Wolf Lodge. Can't. Wait.

What is this "Fall break" that you speak of? No day's off here until Thanksgiving. Saturday is going to be busy-birthday party, cheer, birthday party and Sunday is just a birthday party. Wish it was a do nothing type of weekend!

I also hear tell of another district getting a winter break in Jan/Feb. I could only dream of fall/winter breaks. Have to wait until Thanksgiving for the next break.

Our Fall Break is always a couple of days in October so that the teachers can go to some big conference that the Minnesota Education Association (MEA) does every year. For non teachers like me it means I get 2 days off! It's such a big deal that hotels, indoor waterparks, resorts, etc offer special MEA specials and the museums that are kid friendly (Children's Museum, Science Museum, etc.) have extended hours. Lots of students and their families take vacations over the 4 day weekend.
