I am also wearing pink; I just received some new floral KN95s and felt like it was the perfect day to start wearing them!
From my school, I got some fresh picked flowers from a colleague and 2 positive pools.
Happy School Nurse's Day, everyone! You are all so important to my sanity!!

Our district pulled all of the nurses off their campuses for a full hour of appreciation from admin complete with breakfast and goodies. The administrators were all so very grateful for all we had done over the Covid years. I am sharing their appreciation with you because it goes for everyone here! We were all a valuable part of keeping schools going the last few years and they know it! Hats off to all of us!
Yah! I actually flowers and balloons from admin, flowers and a whoopie pie from a counselor, flowers from a fellow nurse and chocolate from a teacher!
But it was the kind words, spoken and written that really made a difference!

Happy School Nurse Day! It's so nice to see that some of you are being recognized by your schools.
My supervisor and I are wearing matching School Nurse day tee shirts, and we met for coffee to pat ourselves on the back this morning, since nobody else will. The 2 of us take care of 5 elementary schools, a pre school and a junior high.
The shirts are not pink, but have pink in the design, so does that count as wearing pink?

As expected, no recognition by any admins. Because teacher appreciation was last week, it gets lost in the shuffle. Whatever...
I do have 2 school nurses as district parents - one had her little one make me a card and the other sent me a dunkin gift card! ?
TBH, I think I got stuff because I was honest on my response to a culture survey...
Came in to some belated goodies from my Principal and Admin Asst. - a plant, cards, and some pastries! A former school nurse (whom I've never even met!) also dropped off some very nice lotion for me and a card, too!
