I have my last AP 1 final on Wednesday and it can't get here fast enough. I am happy to say that I will pass the class with an A as well as my Nutriion class. I am taking my last two pre-reqs this January and I can't believe I made it this far.
I am very nervous of next semester, which I will be taking AP 2 and Micro together. I will have class 4 nights a week, Monday thru Thursday, full time job and parenting. The good thing is I will have the same prof for AP11 so I already know what to expect. Honestly, I am exhausted and tired of studying. It's been a long road and I can feel my super powers diminishing...If i can just get over this last hill... I will be able to SAVE THE WORLD! (just being silly) but seriously, this will be my hardest semester and I'm not looking forward to it, just need some enouragment to get me through the finish line.
The good news is I can apply to nursing school after next semester.. Yeah!!!
Good Luck to everyone.

Finish line??? I really don't think so... LOL.. Just another hurdle and on to the next... tests, tests, tests... Just take it one step at a time... You'll get there...
True... not exactly the finish line but I will have the rest of the year off until January 2011, when hopefully I will start NS. That's enough time to regain my super powers LOL!

So why stress yourself unnecessarily by taking both A&P and micro next semester?
Slow down and smell the roses....enjoy some family time.

I agree with itsmejuli. Unless there's some kind of scholarship you need to use up next semester or are planning a two-month vacation in europe for fall, I would definitely take a&p2 next semester and micro in the fall.
However, if you're getting an A in a&p1 and nutrition, then I know you'll do well in the other two! Good job!

I am receiving financial aid and it requires me to have to take at least 9 credits, so I dont have a choice unless I pay out of pocket and that is not an option. I know I can do it, but as I mentioned I know it's going to be tough and exhausting.
Thanks

I had the same problem with a scholarship, I always needed to have at least 12 credits so I had to take A&P II, Micro, plus two other classes in order to pay for school on semester. I was miserable, but I survived! It's definitely doable and you'll be fine! I'll tell you one thing - it's REALLY good that you'll have the same teacher, that will definitely make things easier on you. One of the hardest things is adjusting to a new teacher, especially in classes like a&p where every teacher wants something different. Micro was my favorite class, by far. The lab was fascinating and it's easy to relate to real life because microbes/illness is EVERYWHERE. It's a hard class, but enjoy it. :-)

I am taking micro and a/p 2 together this semester with 2 other classes. Micro final is tonight. a/p final next week. The other two classes are done as of today. It was a long hard semester but I pulled an A in all the classes.
A/P and micro can be done together. It is hard, but nursing school is gonna be the hardest yet and I feel putting the two together gives a good indication of the hard work involved in nursing school. Although I felt that a/p 2 is harder than a/p 1, and micro was the easiest class I have had so far.
I am done all my pre reqs and waiting for my letter to my 1st choice school, (2cnd choice I have been accepted)
I felt tired as I neared the end of this semester and was gonna take the spring semester off, but when registrations came along....I just had to go back and register for classes toward my bachelors. I think school and pushing myself has become an addiction. haha
Just keep reminding yourself, parenting is the hardest job in the world, (the one that matters the most) and if you can do that, you can do anything!!!
good luck!!!

Congratulations on your acceptance, hopefully you will get accepted to your first choice. I did enjoy AP1, my Professor is excellent. I'm glad I was able to get him for next semester, he's one of the best in my school and his class fills up quickly. I wish he was teaching Micro..LOL
I am going to catch up on my rest during the holidays, take a mental break and get focused for January
