Hahnemann hospital

Does anyone or has anyone worked at Hahnemann? If so, can you tell me about the pro's and con's of working there? Do you know what the starting wage is for a new RN?

Thanks! :wink2:

Specializes in oncology, transplant, OB.

I was offered a RN position at Hahnemann, but turned it down. The starting pay is $26.67 for days, with 10% shift diff for nights and $2.00 extra for weekends. They don't offer loan forgivness and I forget how much money they give for tuition reimbursement, maybe $4000/year if you work full time (don't quote me on that) plus you get 30% off classes at Drexel. I think parking is $7.00 a day (not 100% sure of that either). The nurse recruiter I interviewed with was very helpful and super nice! However, I heard a lot of negative things about Hahnemann, which is one of the reasons I didn't take the job. But I'm not sure how true that is. I'm actually kicking myself for turning the job down.

I did one of my clinicals at Hahnamann, the nurses were great- very helpful. It really was a great learning experience, I would say I learned more on that floor than I have on any other unit so far. The unit was VERY BUSY though! The nurse manager seemed pretty nice too.

Good luck with everything!
