Hi everyone,
As you can tell I am new. I'm a junior in High School and interested in a nursing major in college. My problem is which class I should take next year for science. I have taken: Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Astronomy & Geology. Next year I have room for TWO classes. My first would be A+P, but I can't decide between Organic & BioChemistry or Physics. Did you take either of these in high school or college? Is one of them more helpful to you as a nurse? Thanks for any advice :)

I would recommend taking anatomy & physiology and organic & biochem. I took physics in high school and don't find it useful (granted I'm not done with school yet). Organic & biochem was a pre-requisite for my nursing program. Taking the class in high school would give you some good background knowledge to make college courses that much easier.

Go with the Chems! Most nursing schools I have looked into want Chemistry (either at the HS level or if you didn't take it in HS..at the college level). I've never seen Physics as a pre-req.

I second that. Organic chem is a great precursor for nursing.
