that we've decided to become nurses? Or in essence will the hospitals require we have the shot done, no matter what in order to be hired?

i am a student i never got mine. i did a placement in ltc and a large hospital. my school couldn’t force any of us to get it and left the decision up to us. the risk was that if there was an outbreak i would not be able to go, i would have had to make up some hours latter or worse, the whole class.

I think hospitals may vary on this issue. The hospital I volunteered at had the same policy for everyone (paid or volunteer): if you will be in patient contact, you either get the vaccine or wear a mask during patient contact. This policy was in effect for the entire flu season.
