Grossmont ADN application

Published

Hello everyone,

Has anyone done the application for Grossmont college in San Diego, for the ADN program?

If so, do you know if the official transcripts need to be sent to the nursing department or the school administration office?

If I speak, write, and read Vietnamese fluently but doesn't have the advanced coursework documentation (I didn't take the higher class for the Vietnamese course), how do I get a proof for it?

I need to submit a copy of documents that shows that I am eligible for BOGFW-B (to get points for having a low income), but I couldn't find this document anywhere in my Reg-E Webportal (for San Diego City College).

Do you know if having a CNA certificate counts as having an Allied Health Certificate (I need this for points too).

I know that I need to go see a counselor, but I just take the TEAS test today and am too excited to wait. Today is Friday, so I have to wait until Monday to make an appointment and who knows how many more days until I can actually see a counselor, so I was hoping if anyone could help me out. Besides, ordering an official transcript takes a couple of days, so I would rather do this as soon as possible because I don't want to miss the application deadline.

Thanks in advance!

has anyone done the application for grossmont college in san diego, for the adn program? i didn't apply to grossmont but i'm sure it's very similar to the application for city college.

if so, do you know if the official transcripts need to be sent to the nursing department or the school administration office? i'm not sure about this since transcripts in the sdccd are in the same system. call the grossmont nursing dept to verify.

if i speak, write, and read vietnamese fluently but doesn't have the advanced coursework documentation (i didn't take the higher class for the vietnamese course), how do i get a proof for it? if you can get written documentation from a reputable source, ie. someone who teaches the language or a supervisor who can vouch that you are fluent in the language, then you can submit that as proof.

i need to submit a copy of documents that shows that i am eligible for bogfw-b (to get points for having a low income), but i couldn't find this document anywhere in my reg-e webportal (for san diego city college). visit the city college financial aid office and ask them to print out something that shows your bogw status. i did this last fall but i didn't qualify for points as i have bogw-c.

do you know if having a cna certificate counts as having an allied health certificate (i need this for points too). yes, i believe you will be awarded points for the certification. you just need to include proof with your application.

Thank you so much, this helps a lot!

I am applying for the lvn-adn program as well and need to take the Teas test was is had and is the application process hard at grossmont to complete. thanks so much. D

I have post a few posts at this link talking about the TEAS V: https://allnurses.com/pre-nursing-student/i-just-took-589141.html

As for the application, I'm still in the process of doing it. I found out that you need to have the official transcripts mailed to your house and then attach those along with the application packet. As for the TEAS transcript, you can just print it out at the website and attach that along with your packet.

I still have a problem with finding a professor or an employer to write a statement, saying/proving that I can speak Vietnamese fluently though.

Hi guys,

I'm in the process of applying too. I am anxious to have everything turned in by the end of the month! It is a lot of work.

I found out last week that I made early decision for Grossmont's LVN program, so if nothing else, I have that to fall back on! Woo hoo!
